V.A.R.K is -NOT- an animal rescue!

Veterinary After Rescue Kare (V.A.R.K.) is a non-profit organization dedicated to giving unwanted animals of all species and breeds another chance at life by funding their medical care.

Founded by Dr. Jyl Rubin to prevent ‘convenient’ euthanasia of animals and to reduce overpopulation through spay and neuter programs, this organization is picking up speed and growing immensely by the day. We at V.A.R.K. are always looking for volunteers, veterinarians, and other veterinary medical professionals to participate as part of the organization with us.

The people at V.A.R.K. organize a yearly fundraiser, hosting a majority of the rescues from around the area, as well as a number of vendors, non-profits, entertainment, a raffle, and a silent auction. These funds go directly to furthering the organization, and helping the animals who can’t help themselves.

Currently, V.A.R.K. provides services to the Greater Sacramento area rescues, but hopes to become a nationwide service.

V.A.R.K. is a 501(C)3 certified non-profit organization.
